The beagle is a scent hound, developed primarily for hunting hare. Possessing a great sense of smell and superior tracking instincts, the beagle is the primary breed used as detection dogs for prohibited agricultural imports and foodstuffs around the world.

The tail does not curl over the back, but is held upright when the dog is active. His face is turned upwards as if looking at someone waiting for instructions.

CollectAs Beagle is a great dog figurine sculpted in a standing, alert position with its tail erect and nose pointing upwards as though it is waiting patiently for a treat. Its body is nicely detailed with a furry coat, and while its muzzle, underside and the tip of its tail are white, the majority of its head, ears, and body are painted various shades of brown. This sweet little companion really is mans best friend.
